Digitizing for embroidery is an art form. Using digitizing software we transform logos, designs and text into stitches, creating a file format an embroidery machine can read. That is the simple definition, but there is much more to it than that.
Pricing
Digitizing is a one-time fee for your logo (unless you want to enlarge or shrink it..then some minor modifications have to be made to it for a small fee. Each logo is unique, therefore a definitive price cannot be given until your logo is viewed by our digitizers. The bigger your logo, obviously the more stitches are required to complete it. The average one-time digitizing fee for a logo that is 4" x 4" can be between $75.00 to $125.00 (depending on the total stitch count).
The Process
Digitizing for embroidery machines isn't as simple as clicking a button and letting the software magically transform a design into stitches. Other companies may tell you differently, so be wary of "standard" fees for digitizing services. Every job is different based on the stitch count. How can you be expected to pay the same digitizing fee for your logo, that is only 4500 stitches, and someone else who's logo is 25,000 stitches? Ask to see the companies embroidered samples first and look to see how tight the stitching on the garment really is.
In embroidery and digitizing you really do get what you pay for. Pump Gear has many samples of our work to show, so please don't hesitate to ask. Experienced digitizers have to dissect the image, breaking it into layers. Then using the software's tools, they separate those sections for redrawing or resizing, stitching in underlay and overlay threads, assigning stitching sequences, using thread to apply shading and colourizing. The logo/design is then reassembled to create the original impression and is ready for the first sew out. Pump Gear's quality embroidery is a reflection of our skilled digitizing.
